Services we offer
Core Conditioning
Core conditioning is accomplished through the development of strength programs
specifically designed for each individual, which allows them to functionally
integrate their body as a whole entity. We need to be functionally strong
in order to carry out everyday activities.
Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation refers to those events and processes occurring after the injury
and progressing to ultimate stabilisation and maximum possible recovery.
As part of a team with other professionals a personal trainer can significantly
contribute to your recovery and rehabilitation effort.
Orthotics
Foot Orthotics correct an abnormal, or irregular, walking pattern.
They perform functions that make standing, walking, and running
more comfortable and efficient, by altering slightly the angles
at which the foot strikes a walking or running surface.
Custom orthotics are made
to help correct any misalignments in the foot, improve a person's
posture, or alleviate any pain in the foot or leg. Custom Orthotics
differ from inserts that you can buy at any store because they
are specially made to conform to the unique shape of an individual's
foot.
Postural Analysis
Our bodies are designed to achieve a balance left to right, up and down, front
to back. The bilateral design of the body includes the same muscles on the
right as on the left. Sets of muscles work as levers to push and pull our
bodies to run, lift, jump, squat and stand. The term good posture is applied
to those who can do all of these activities without compromising the integrity
of the body, which means no pain.
Sports Specific Programmes
Exercise for sports participation not only prepares a person for optimal performances,
it also reduces the likelihood of injuries. An exercise programme must be
specific to the sport with regard to the muscles used and the required energy
systems. Whether it be pre, mid or post season, we can develop a program
to suit your needs.
